Do you really care when people don't wash their hands after they use the bathroom, or does it only upset you when you have to see the transgression?
Because, intellectually, I know there are loads of germs and disgusting stuff everywhere. But, when someone walks out of the restroom when I'm in there without even feigning an effort, I just don't understand it.
Even if you don't want to make it a habit. Please give people like me the benefit of the doubt. Just a quick rinse. We need to pretend the world is clean.
Oh, and this has happened REPEATEDLY at my workplace. And I'm never able to look at the person the same way again. June 26, 2008

Better Safe Than Rich
How big of an issue is car safety for you?
I was looking up a new car I was interested in and saw it had a 5-Star safety rating, and actually got annoyed, thinking how that little fact probably added 2 g's to its pricepoint.
I mean, are their certain models that you would just REFUSE to get into because of safety concerns? Cars are safe-ish. That's good enough for me.
"Oh, well, if you're driving 85 MPH down a mountain in a monsoon and get struck from a 65 degree angle by a freight train, only this model will make sure you're safe."
I'll take my chances. Keep the cupholder air bag, and give me back my 2 g's.
